Marco Diaz, a suspect armed with knives at a transitional housing residence in Los Angeles, California, was non-fatally shot by LAPD in a tense March 16 standoff. The victim, a property manager, suffered cuts to his hands and head, say police. Diaz was charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
