Woman pulls fellow straphanger’s hair, robs her inside UES subway station

A woman pulled a fellow straphanger by the hair and robbed her inside an Upper East Side subway station earlier this week, cops said.

The 61-year-old victim was sitting on a bench as she waited for the train at the Lexington Avenue – 63rd Street Q and F station around 10:50 p.m. Monday when she and another woman exchanged words, police said.

The woman then pulled the victim to the ground by her hair, cops said.

The victim attempted to bolt from the station when the assailant again pulled her hair and took off with her pull cart, holding her credit cards, state ID card and an unspecified amount of cash.

The attacker took off, and the victim refused medical attention for minor injuries.

Cops released a surveillance photo of the suspect late Wednesday and described her as about 25 years old, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-6 and between 140 and 150 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and black leggings.
