As the COVID-19 vaccines become more readily available all across the United States, the NY Times decided to quote an “ethics expert” who suggest we ‘level the playing field’ by not giving the vaccine suggested that “whiter” elderly Americans should not be prioritized for in order to “level the playing field a bit.”
Even though the elderly are at the most danger from the Chinese coronavirus, Dr. Harold Schmidt doesn’t really seem to care.
Schmidt goes on to say that putting essential workers ahead of the elderly is “reasonable”, noting that essential workers are disproportionately minorities, the Times reported.
“Older populations are whiter,” Schmidt told the Times. “Society is structured in a way that enables them to live longer. Instead of giving additional health benefits to those who already had more of them, we can start to level the playing field a bit.”
“But far more among the essential workers don’t have that option, [especially] frontline workers,” he continued. “Therefore, vaccinating all healthy people 65+ before essential workers is likely to make racial and economic disparities worse.”
Apparently wanting older white people to die faster isn’t “racist” to The NY Times. How does that work?
Noah Rothman said this opinion was ‘ghastly’:
“This is the kind of dispassionate empiricism we’ve come to expect. Trust the science,” Rothman goes on say.
Rothman has been warning people about this for some time. In fact, he authored a 2019 book titled “Unjust: Social Justice and the Unmaking of America”
Make no mistake, if Biden ends up stealing the White House, these racist decisions will become more prevalent.
